Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer will be a key member of the in-house creative team. This individual will provide creative design support for our two brands, Midwest Tape and hoopla digital. This team member's work will directly influence consumers' (Patrons) and B2B customers' (Customers/Libraries) perceptions of these brands.

Creative executions may include (but are not limited to) integrated B2B marketing campaigns, sizzle/sales video development/storyboarding, digital banner ad campaigns, social media content, trade show event materials, sales presentations, photo and video direction, and a variety of sales collateral.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Interpret creative briefs and other direction, translating complex inputs into simple solutions that move the target audiences and support business needsApply existing campaign style guides and key visuals to various tactics, adapting B2C design work for B2B audiences as neededDevelop all-new concepts and designs as needed for both digital and printTailor creative versions for various business channels and audiences, including the sales and digital acquisition teams.Consult with subject matter experts and stakeholders, and present work to internal clients/partners as neededProvide strategic rationale for recommendationsApply feedback, data-driven insights and other learnings to continually improve the workCollaborate with Content Managers/Project Managers, Copywriters, Videographers, Photographers and othersProvide guidance to others, including interns, contractors and external partners as appropriateUltimately help drive the growth of both iconic and ever-expanding brands.

Skills:Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud on the Mac platform, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesignKnowledge of MS Word, Excel and AcrobatExperience in creating robust PowerPoint presentationsStrategic, critical thinker with the ability to effectively interpret creative briefs and other inputsStrong sense of urgency, and ability to maintain creative excellence while meeting fast-paced deadlinesSelf-starter with proven ability to balance multiple projects at onceOutstanding attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skillsAbility and willingness to learn new software on an ongoing basis.Video editing and animation skillsEmail design and delivery prep/simple coding such as HTMLPreferred Experience

3 years’ experience in graphic design3 years’ marketing experiencePrior agency experiencePreferred Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or a related field, or equivalent experience with portfolio showcasing design experiencePhysical Requirements/Work Environment:
