Event Planner
to support our
Marketing Department.
Responsibilities:
Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written to determine stakeholder objectives, audience and intended message.Work collaboratively with marketing managers and the creative team to translate the assessed needs into a strategic marketing vehicle/campaign created to achieve the client's objectives.Lead planning on all U.S. D&H Conferences from commencement to completion in shipping, venue and expo company details, creation of agenda, collateral coordination, driving vendor participation through marketing team, onsite facilitation and post-event follow up.Develop events following D&H initiative objectives, projected budgets, finding cost-cutting opportunities and additional revenue generating opportunities to increase projected profits.Coordinate Customer registration content.Coordinate Staff registration requirements, details and process.Facilitate the White Glove Shipping & Storage service with vendor management teams and vendors.Coordinate Event Shirt Ordering.Ideal candidate will possess VAR and Consumer Channel knowledge.Monitor and adhere to all event timelines and budgets; tracking both expenses and revenue throughout the lifecycle of all assigned events/activities.Travel to and review possible new locations for events when necessary and attend D&H events to provide onsite support when necessary.Familiar with and adheres to all event related contracts.Work with sales, advertising and marketing to ensure proper branding and messaging occurs at all events.Work with sales, advertising and marketing to develop event agendas including target vendors, seminars, trainings and reseller recruitment.Responsible for helping to ensure cohesiveness and planning for larger scale efforts that require funding and working with all appropriate internal and external teams.Responsible to work with cross-departmental key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are executed and marketing revenue is captured.Demonstrates professional, courteous demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a constructive manner with others in a dynamic working environment.Displays outstanding organizational skills, experience in coordinating time-sensitive projects and proven ability to meet deadlines.Shows ability to quickly understand processes, current trends, and technical vernacular associated with company's products, technologies and brands.Works with D&H Executives, Customers and Vendors as needed.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3-5 years event planning experience is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Must have experience with CRM databases, Certain registration platform, EventPro Planner or similar/related software.Must have excellent communication, collaboration, copy writing skills, and creativity.Familiarity with Adobe Suite.Self-starter with attention to detail.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear. The employee will frequently be required to stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
