The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the installation, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of an enterprise compute, storage, and desktop environment. This includes handling technologies such as Office 365, Email, Azure, VMware, Windows Server, SAN/NAS, Backup, File/Print services, and Anti-virus solutions. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing 24x7x365 support for enterprise hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Implementation & Support:

Implement and support technology projects to meet departmental goals and objectives.System Architecture Management:

Oversee and support System Architecture solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.24x7x365 Support:

Provide continuous support and resolution for enterprise hardware and software issues.Documentation:

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.Performance Reporting:

Generate reports and metrics for performance analysis and growth planning.Preventive Maintenance:

Establish and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for systems and components.Technical Guidance:

Offer technical and operational guidance to staff and contractors.Additional Duties:

Perform related duties as directed.Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:Education:

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, ORHigh School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

4+ years

experience in end-to-end management of the following technologies:

Microsoft Server Platforms:

Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows SQL ServerMicrosoft Software Services:

Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, DefenderMicrosoft Management Services:

Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft IntuneMicrosoft Azure Cloud Services:

PowerEdge MX740C R660 and R760, Compellent SC200, StreamVault SVS-7020E and SV-7040EX, vxRail E5VMware:

3+ years

experience with:

Pure Storage arrays (FlashArray // X20R3, C50R4, Pure1 management, ActiveCluster)Backup and Recovery ServicesFile and Print ServicesData Center Installation (Rack & Stack)

2+ years

creating solution designs integrating server, storage, backup, management, and security into existing environments.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with VMware vSAN, VEEAM Enterprise Backup, Wasabi Cloud, PowerShell, Azure Co-Pilot AI.Knowledge of Disaster Recovery Services, including testing, planning, and documentation.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Design Expert - Data Center Virtualization (VCDX), Pure Storage Certified Platform Architect Expert, etc.Familiarity with technologies like Recast, ManageEngine, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Adobe.General knowledge of information security concepts, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), Linux and DevOps stacks, Container technology platforms, and emerging technologies such as AI/Client and IoT.
