Security Engineer

The Security Engineer is responsible for researching, testing, and implementing security software to reduce risk to TAB. The Security Engineer will often resolve possible causes of security threats early on by reviewing current security coverage and recommending enhancements to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate ownership and initiative over all aspects of information security technologies in use at TABReview current security standards and practices and suggest improvements to enhance security postureInstall, document, and manage initial rollout of new software, such as DLP, network detection, automation, and patching systems, etc.Create and maintain documentation of technical tools, and provide a smooth transition to operations staff once technical, operational, and business integration tasks are completeMaintain and run tools such as Tanium, MS Purview, Rapid7, Okta and SentinelOne to reduce risk to TABWork with operations to monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions, and suggest products, tools, or processes to reduce likelihood and severity of incidentsDevelop and implement automation scripts to handle and track incidentsTest security solutions using industry standard analysis criteriaObserve and report on irregular system behaviorDevelop and lead incident response activities such as red and purple team exercisesAssist in developing a roadmap for Information Security program enhancementsAssist with educating staff members on information security through training and awarenessWork with Audit and auditing firms on ensuring compliance with regulations and providing requested evidenceRecommend improvements to Information Security Officer in legal, technical, and regulatory areasOther duties as assignedRequirements:

Translate business objective and requirements to information security requirements5+ years of experience working in and with technical teamsOne or more of CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CEH - all professional certifications highly valuedComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skillsUnderstanding of best practices, risk assessment and how to implement changes at a business-wide levelCritical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they ariseStrong time management and organizational skills
