St. Ambrose University is looking for its next Graphic Design Strategist who can help us elevate our new brand to the next level. The graphic design strategist will use innovative design methods to manage, implement, and support creative design strategies for the university in publications, print and digital materials, advertising and more. This person will work with our creative services team to leverage the university's new brand to tell visual stories through marketing materials that engage audiences and attract prospective students to St. Ambrose.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for strategic leadership and implementation of creative strategies for St. Ambrose University's publications, digital/web designs, print materials, and advertising.Serve as lead graphic designer and art director, managing projects from conception to production, for institutional publications, print materials, campus signage, advertising and other needs.Coordinate and bid projects for campus constituents, including graphic design and visual products. Work with vendors, illustrators, and other creative consultants to achieve goals.Research and promote industry-leading creative standards and integrate them with the university's strategic brand initiatives.Develop and implement a standard in the use of AI in the development and enhancement of the university's brand elements.Lead the development and stewardship of creative policies, procedures, and practices (e.g., brand manual, video style guide, policies for creative review, etc.).Consult with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and account groups as needed to ensure the successful delivery of creative services and products.Consult and support Communications and Marketing staff members on additional projects as needed, including images for website, photography, and videography.Qualifications :

2 to 4 years of experience in a professional graphic design position.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or in progress).Accelerated knowledge of graphic design principles and strategies.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.Experience in writing and developing creative marketing content.Accelerated graphic design and multimedia editing skills.Excellent understanding of messaging strategies, analytics and audience targeting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent project management, organizational, and planning skills.Creative thinking and the ability to contribute fresh ideas to content creation.Capacity for flexible work to accommodate off-hours events and urgent projects.Must be able to work as a member of a team, independently work under tight deadlines, and assume responsibility for accurate completion of assignments.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education or a similar field.Proficient knowledge of generative AI tools.Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Airtable).Benefits :
