We Are Looking For:
A detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our growing team! In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our construction project accounting.
Responsibilities:Maintain job cost records for assigned construction projects, tracking all direct and indirect costs.Prepare progress billings to clients based on the percentage of completion or completed contract method.Process invoices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials, labor, and equipment.Allocate overhead costs to construction projects.Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances.Assist in preparing financial statements, ensuring accurate reflection of construction-related transactions.Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.Support with month-end closing procedures.Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction accounting (a plus).Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with construction-specific software a plus).Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
