Journey Center for Safety and Healing's Grants Coordinator/Lead Grants Coordinator is responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage the grants program with government, foundation, and corporate sources. Also provides support to the Development Department with other projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Write proposals and applications for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects to foundations, corporations, and government sourcesSubmit timely and accurate reports for all grant funded projectsResearch new sources of public and private grant fundingWork with appropriate staff on grant narratives, goals, outcomes, and updates bi-annually and/or as neededWork with finance to gather information necessary to report to fundersObtain grant results, data, and narrative from program staff for grant reportsCreate and maintain grant/report schedule, deadlines, progress and awardsMaintain accurate foundation records and contact information in databasesProvide stewardship to grant funders outside the scope of grant requirements (recognition, updates on agency work)Encourage site visits with appropriate Journey Center staff and potential fundersAssist with other fundraising and marketing projects as neededProfessionally and effectively work with other departments, donors, and communityCommunicate regularly with other personnel in the Development DepartmentAssume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directedSpeak publicly regarding the agency and its services as neededResponsible for fiscal aspects including, but not limited to:
Understand the agency budget and program budgetRead and understand a program P&L including budget variancesUnderstand administrative overheadUnderstand program funding sources and corresponding program and funding compliance with Finance team

Journey will hire either a Grants Coordinator or a Lead Grants Coordinator, depending on the candidate's experience.
Grants Coordinator:
Bachelor's Degree and/or experience with grant writing requiredMust have and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and appropriate insurance coverage; must maintain an appropriate driving record.Salary: $44,000-$46,000Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Must operate effectively as part of a teamMust demonstrate flexibility and excellent planning and organizational skillsMust be able to manage multiple personal and team projectsMust be able to work with all staff, volunteers, community partners and donors on fundraising projects and other activitiesMust maintain a high level of confidentiality relating to donor recordsMust be able to demonstrate advanced competency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power PointMust be able to understand and demonstrate skills in database administration and report generationMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsMust be able to work within deadlinesMust have the capability of having a flexible schedule to meet the needs of Journey Center events and activitiesMaintain a positive attitudeThorough knowledge of rules, regulations, functions, procedures, organization, and policies governing the operations of Journey Center for Safety and HealingAbility to incorporate Journey Center's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion value by modeling our work through a lens of equity and anti-racism.Ability to incorporate Journey Center's Values into assigned duties
