A construction and development firm in Florida is seeking an entry level Accountant to join their growing team as the new Staff Accountant. This will be a journal entry, and general ledger focused corporate accounting role.
Responsibilities:Performs general ledger reconciliations for certain accounts/companiesReconciles bank and investment accountsEnters and updates corporate related journal entriesMaintain fixed asset recordsUpdate monthly reconciliationsUpdate leasing software with new/expired leasesInterim financial statement preparation for related companiesPrepare analysis of monthly budget to actual reportsAssist with year-end external audit and tax returnsRespond to questions and assist with research as required.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required1-3 years of work experience in Financial Accounting departmentProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksWorks well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentHigh degree of attention to detail and ability to multi-taskDesired:
Construction experience a plus
