Position: Database Administration II
Job Duties:
Responsible for the databases used by the Konami Casino Management System (SYNKROS™) and related systems. This includes implementing changes to the database and its structure, both physical and application specific.This position supports the database as required by the Development, Testing, QA, and Production supports efforts, and reports to senior manager any discrepancies or problems to resolve.Performs installations and maintenance of new and existing customer systems (Oracle Databases), including backup and recovery, data integrity investigation and correction, replication of data between multiple sites, performance analysis and tuning.Analyze and support the SYNKROS application from the database perspective- including identifying and correcting data issues.Performs data conversion(scrambling) tasks associated with customer installations.Utilize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle RDBMS 10g, 11g to perform duties successfully.Writing PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and functions as and when required for enhancement of the project.Monitoring and improving Oracle Sql performance, tunning database activities using TKPROF, Explain plan and Oracle Optimizer.Makes additions, corrections, creation, and documentation of existing database schema.Qualifications
Education Requirements:Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related. Employers will accept foreign equivalent if in the same field.Experience Requirements:
60 months of experience in job offered, IT Developer III, Senior Programmer Analyst, Software Developer Engineer 3, Programmer Analyst, Developer, or closely related.
Special skills requirements:
Transforming and loading data into the Oracle database for OLTPAnalyzing test results and recommending modifications to the applications to meet project specifications.Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the applications, systems and data warehouses as required by the project.Followed Agile methodologies for software development and integrating applications by designing database architecture and sever scripting.Researched, analyzed and designed computer-based solutions for defined business, scientific or engineering problems and provides analysis of business, management and system requirements in terms of decision support using: Oracle 10g/11g SQL, PLSQL, Toad 9.7, HyperionUsed TOAD, PL/SQL developer tools for faster application design and developments; and participated in the full software development life cycle (SDLC).Responsible for database object maintenance by creating objects such as Tables, Indexes, Views, Database Triggers, PL/SQL procedures, Packages, Dynamic SQL, ref Cursors Materialized Views, Object Types, Bulk Transactions, SQL*Loader
