ANALYST DEVELOPER DeRoyal, delivering high quality medical products and innovative healthcare services, is actively searching for an Analyst Developer to join our Corporate IT staff. The Analyst Developer will be responsible for supporting critical software systems and processes. EDI will be a primary responsibility for this individual. This will entail duties such as maintaining existing trading partner relationships, establishing new trading partners, develop and modify existing maps, and developing and modifying ERP application interfaces in PERL. There will be a focus on automating as many of the EDI support/management processes as possible and migrating toward the use of Python. A secondary responsibility will be to perform other development activities to support development/configuration of web applications (.NET). The individual will also have the ability to grow and learn other areas within the department to the extent there is capacity and desire, as continual learning is highly encouraged. Some Responsibilities Include: Apply critical thinking to review, evaluate, design, implement, and support processes and procedures that result in accurate and automated processing of EDI data. Serve as point-of-contact for EDI related inquiries and primary analyst for EDI processes and projects. Quickly identify and resolve EDI errors. Work with customers, vendors and co-workers to implement EDI projects. Manage existing trading partners and implement new trading partners. Responsible for development, testing and support of ANSI X12 documents such as 850, 855, 810, 856, 867, 845, 852, 940, 945, 997 as well as custom formats. Possesses a general understanding and experience with web system architecture and software development. Possesses strong ability to learn and use new systems, tools and techniques. Possesses ability to work in a project team environment or on an individual basis. Has ability to provide "on-call" support after hours. Qualifications Include: ANSI X12 Knowledge Setup and management of EDI communication systems, include AS2 and FTP. Strong knowledge of relational databases and ability to write SQL. Ability to read/develop scripts in PERL or Python to automate business processes. Experience with structured programming. Strong preference for .NET development experience or strong desire and ability to learn it. Experience with BizConnect, eVision, Oracle J.D. Edwards, PERL a plus. Self-motivated and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Excellent communication and writing skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university plus 3 years of relevant EDI programming or bachelor's degree from four-year college or university plus 3 years of .NET software development experience.
