The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (SBIA) empowers Inpatient Hospital Quality leaders at UNC Health with high-level, insight-driven analyses. The SBIA leads analytics, reporting, data governance, and data visualization development in partnership with internal stakeholders and analytics teams.Description of Job Responsibilities:

* Dashboard and Scorecard Development: Lead the creation of key performance indicators, management dashboards, and balanced scorecards to enhance organizational decision-making* Healthcare Analytics: Provide clinical and operational analytics support to generate actionable insights and fulfill reporting and analytics requests* Communication, Presentation, and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop concise and insightful presentations and act as a liaison between hospital leadership, clinical leaders, ISD, and other stakeholders to align department efforts with organizational goals and amplify the voice of the customer* Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train Business Intelligence Analysts (BIAs) in analytical techniques and quality of work; provide ad hoc training for other analystsOther Information

Other information:Education Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.Licensure/Certification Requirements:* No licensure or certification required.Professional Experience Requirements:* If Bachelor's degree in general degree, four (4) years of experience* If Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Engineering, Math, Analytics, Computer Science), requires two (2) years of experience* If Master's degree, requires two (2) years of experience* If PhD, requires no years of experience* If Associates, requires ten (10) years of experience* If High School degree, requires thirteen (13) years of experience

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:SQL and Data Viz software intermediate proficiencyUnderstands the importance and has intermediate proficiency with leveraging existing reusable data sources for visualizations and analytics before creating their own. When creating new assets, they have the ability to make it reusable. - Stakeholder requirements gathering, and presentation skills requiredR/Python (other stat software) limited proficiency preferredExemplifies UNC Health System ValuesIntermediate proficiency building SQL-based data sources and working with data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)Basic proficiency with R, Python, or other statistical software is a plus but not requiredPrior experience working with Inpatient healthcare data is a plus but not requiredStrong communication skills, a collaborative ethos, and a drive to innovateJob Details
