Job Title: Paint Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Prepares surfaces by cleaning, filling, sanding, masking, etc.Mixes paints, primers and other liquid componentsMixes coating(s) to achieve approved color match standardsPrepares and uses spraying vessels, spray guns, hoses and mixing toolsProperly cleans and maintains mixing and spray equipmentProper handling and storage of liquid paints and other materials including solventsProperly handles "pre" and "post" painted articles in the manner prescribed by work instructions and trainingOperates hand sprayer to achieve appropriate coverage of coating(s)Assists in developing standard operating procedures and work instructionsTrains additional personnel as neededInspects painted products to approved quality standards for cosmetic appearancePerforms functional testing for adhesion and other characteristicsFollows all safety precautionsPerforms all quality control checksCare and proper use of special tooling or gaging as instructedPerforms process / machine set-upRoutine maintenance and machine adjustment as instructedCoordinate with maintenance as needed to prevent / report problemsAssures that process area remains clean and organizedReports production data such as parts completed, downtime, nonconformanceOther activities as instructed that support the area safety, quality and delivery requirementsMinimum Required Qualifications:
High School DiplomaPrior experience in an industrial or commercial paint process
