Role: MAINFRAME ARCHITECT

Experience: 10-12 years of strong experience

Job Location: The candidate must be willing to work in a hybrid model from the Client’s locations in Charlotte NC or Detroit MI (Hybrid 4 days a week)

Must Have Skills:

• COBOL,JCL,DB2 Domain Skills

• At least 10-12 years of experience in a hands-on development role.

Responsibilities:

• Main Frame Architect with strong hands-on knowledge in Mainframe.

• Should have knowledge in COBOL and DB2, Oracle and SQL.

• Should have knowledge in Jira.

• Java knowledge is added advantage.

• Good Communication skills.

• Work with client Mainframe analyst to understand the existing system.

• Perform detailed analysis on the existing JCL/COBOL/PL1 programs.

• Document the functionality.

• Creation of Jira stories with detailed business functionality.

• Validate the correctness of modernized batch job by looking into data and compare with Legacy system.

• Play the role of product owner for internal Cognizant team
