Lead Windows System Administrator
with Tier 2/3 experience and
Linux (RHEL) proficiency

area!
As a
Lead Windows Systems Administrator , you will:
Support production and development direct support to an on-premises Windows infrastructure.
Be responsible for full Life Cycle support of on-premised hosted Systems/Applications.

A week in the life of a
Lead Windows System Administrator :
Review, evaluate, and fine-tune system performance to achieve peak efficiency and reliability for
Mission Systems/Applications.
Monitor the environment to ensure adequate resources (hardware, software, and throughput) are available to meet customer requirements.
Coordinate
problem resolution
with customers, teammates, and vendors.
Evaluate new and existing
system software/hardware
and recommend changes to improve efficiency and functionality.
Provide management with status of projects, problem resolution, and/or other system administration statuses that require
upward and outward communication .
Provide the necessary system administration expertise to
satisfy business requirements , through the process of documenting and implementing the final system administration solution.
Implement, monitor, and
maintain Cybersecurity compliance
vulnerability mitigations with the Cybersecurity team.
Perform maintenance and administrative scripting ( PowerShell, Perl, etc. ).
Support
Tier 2/3 production and development
support, including
ticket submission and tracking .
Review system and
application logs
and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
Analyze system resource consumption and take corrective action as necessary.
Administer user accounts to properly control access to the systems.
Job Requirements:
Active
TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
At least
7 years’ experience in Windows and Windows Server
operating system and
At least
2 years
of task-related experience in
Linux Administration .
Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with two (2) additional years of Windows Server experience.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (e.g.,
Security+ CE , CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP).
Scripting
experience (e.g. PowerShell, Perl, Bash, etc.).
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
