Gastroenterologist - Needed to increase patient access in busy outpatient practi

This outpatient practice is at our Main Street Clinic and is open from 8a to 5p Monday through Friday. Our physicians work 32 patient contact hours per week with the option to work a 4-day work week. The additional Gastroenterologist will join two others: an adult GI and a double boarded pediatric/adult GI. This practice is for a General GI; advanced procedures are referred out.A typical day would be doing a ½ day of scopes in the morning, doing 8+ procedures averaging 30 minutes each. Afternoons are office visits seeing 10-12 patients. Physicians are offered the flexibility to set up their clinic practice schedule times for initial consults and follow-up visits.The Endoscopy Center is adjacent, and attached to the Clinic exam room space for easy transition from scoping to seeing patients in the office. For scoping we currently have two intake rooms, four procedure rooms, eight recovery beds and the department is staffed with nine RNs and seven LPNs all with years of experience.Future expansion plans include adding two procedure rooms for a total of six, a department remodel with additional exam rooms that will be completed by mid to late 2025.Each physician has two exam rooms, and diagnostic imaging and lab are conveniently located in the same building. EMR system is Altera-Touchworks.GI physicians can do a ½ day of scopes one weekend per month, performing approximately 10 scopes.In return we provide an additional day off at a future date for a total of 12 additional days off. Procedures performed are EGD, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Esophageal Dilations, Manometry, 24-hr PH Monitoring, Capsule Endoscopy to name a few.We treat a broad spectrum of GI, lots of GERD, IBD, Abdominal, pain, abnormal liver tests, hepatitis, Dysphagia, Constipation, Diarrhea and more. Minimal call is for Mankato Clinic patients only during Clinic hours. The GI patient population is ages 18 and up.Work / life balance is an important part of physician's culture at Mankato Clinic. Annual physician turnover averages 4%, well below industry norms. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8a.m. - 5p.m. Full-time is 32 Patient Contact Hours weekly with 4 hours of administrative time, and a four-day workweek option is available. We offer 35 vacation days annually and our Clinics are closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Mankato Clinic also features a generous health benefits plan, $6,600 CME allowance annually and profit-sharing 401(k). Partnership is offered after one year of employment with minimal buy-in.
