Job Description:
[MULTIPLE POSITIONS]: Avanade Inc. seeks Azure Application Architects to be part of the digital transformation and building of modern applications using the industry’s leading technologies. You will: learn our clients’ business, organization, systems, challenges, and goals; build trust with clients and peers as an enterprise cloud architect and domain expert; lead the technical efforts for enterprise-level projects that build and deploy cloud optimized applications in Azure environments; architect, design, test and implement cloud applications in both a manual and automated manner; work closely with client operational resources in updating their on-premises practices to include cloud; lead and work in Agile teams using frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe; apply DevOps processes and technologies to automate applications and infrastructure; manage a combination of on-shore and off-shore resources; and work closely with the application, network, and security teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure design. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic) is expected. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of Seattle, WA. Offered Salary: $151,00 to $170,000. Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical degree, plus at least five (5) years of experience as an Azure Application Architect, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. A qualified applicant's experience must include: 5 years of experience in building or running distributed/scalable enterprise applications on any of the recognized Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud); 5 years of experience in modern architecture and design patterns, including micro-services, anti-corruption, and strangler fig; 5 years of experience in DevOps and/or Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep) and deployment approaches/strategies (Ring, Blue/Green, Canary, A/B testing, and/or deployment slots); 5 years of experience using Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Durable Functions and other serverless technologies or AWS equivalents; 3 years of experience using Azure architecture and infrastructure fundamentals; 3 years of experience using branching strategies (GitFlow or Github Flow); 3 years of experience using development platforms including Azure DevOps, Github or Github Enterprise; and 3 years of experience in Azure analytics and Azure Data Factory.
