JOB SUMMARY

The Concert Marketing Intern will work closely on all aspects of the Amerant Bank Arena show marketing process including, but not limited to: monitoring all in-house marketing efforts, promotional planning, trend research, community outreach, copywriting, as well as media relations. In addition, this role will focus on educational training and gaining practical experience in the field of event and sports marketing across both digital and traditional platforms and activations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with Amerant Bank Arena digital marketing and email strategies, with an emphasis on developing more targeted and relevant interactions with fans.

Research and compile relevant information regarding artists and their fan bases as well as evolving marketing trends and technology.

Assist in creation and execution of promotional plans for marketing campaigns with a focus on fan engagement and lead generation.

Assist with day-of show activation conceptualization and set-up, as well as press assistance.

Work alongside the team to help create content & schedule social media posts on all Amerant Bank Arena accounts.

Assist with monitoring and reporting on in-house marketing efforts by creating recap decks for each show.

Assist with maintenance of the arena digital marketing, social media calendar, and in-arena marketing.

Provide support for Amerant Bank Arena website updates and edits.

REQUIREMENTS

Undergrad degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media Communications or other relevant major.

Strong understanding of marketing strategy, digital trends, and various forms of outreach.

Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.

Social media content creation experience, including: Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Result-driven with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Concert marketing or live event production experience is a plus.

EXPECTATIONS

Position requires regular office hours Monday through Friday, not to exceed 20 hours a week.

Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Complete projects in a timely manner or prior to given deadlines.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced professional environment.

Participate in department community initiatives throughout the year.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Bilingual preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

This position works in an arena where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures are variable – often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights and pyrotechnics.

Physical Demands:

Walking:

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Lifting:

Raising objects from a lower to a higher position (up to 25 pounds) or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a paid part-time intern position. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.
