KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead insights for new product development

Build and execute learning plans to help team progress from where to play to product launch putting the consumer at the heart of the process; designing & executing qualitative and quantitative research projects across a wide range of methodologies.

Leverage modern methods to develop positioning and communication strategies for new products.

Collaborate with shopper insights and sales to build best in class sales stories to successfully sell in innovation ideas to key retail partners.

Provide strategic insight & analytics to guide business teams

Be a strategic consultant to the business team, translating business needs into learning goals.

Partner with across the insights team to identify compelling whitespace opportunities and leverage them to guide strategy.

Leverage analytics skills to navigate multiple systems and platforms to sync disparate data sources and identify actionable insights.

Proactively collaborate with key cross functional teams within the business team avoiding silos and seeking out ways to add value.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of experience in Consumer Insights or related field

Experience designing learning plans across qualitative and quantitative methods of learning

Experience working in the pet industry: familiarity with the competitive landscape, data, and pet parent needs

Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically and communicate insights and recommendations clearly and simply

Demonstrated success interviewing consumers/pet parents in various settings (1:1, prototyping sessions, in-home, etc.)

Experience collaborating with cross functional teams including R&D, Marketing, and Sales

Self-starter with a bias for action and ability to navigate ambiguity

Passionate about solving problems / bringing joy to pet parents and pets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience leading innovation research to help team progress from Where to Play through all phases of learning to product launch

Expertise in a variety of traditional and modern qualitative and quantitative research techniques, specifically for product and packaging innovation and/or positioning and communications development

Experience with analytics and syndicated data

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

Preference is for this person to work in Minneapolis, MN at our World Headquarters.
