The Inclusive Intervention Counselor will provide comprehensive services for all scholars, including counseling sessions, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).Provide short term one-on-one counseling sessions to all scholars including scholars with special needs.Provide counseling and guidance and/or individual counseling as designated by scholar IEPs.Facilitate weekly small group counseling to address common issues such as social skills, self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief, and coping strategies.Collect qualitative and informal observational data to inform counseling sessions.Identify scholar present levels of performance to determine baseline and progress on goal(s) through data collection and collaboration with stakeholders.Hold conflict resolution sessions for scholars.Act as a community resource to families.Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, school administrators, school psychologists, medical professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to create a safe school culture and support student self-efficacy.Maintain service logs for all scholars receiving intervention/IEP counseling services for data and compliance.Provide crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments (documentation, creation of a safety plan, and notifying parents), to support scholars experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise on special education and counseling (IEPs and SST Meetings).Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and legal requirements in special education and counseling.Support the creation of and conduct workshops and training sessions with Lead Psychologist or Lead Inclusive Intervention Counselor for school staff and parents on topics related to special education and scholar well-being.Prepare reports and documentation as required by the school organization and state regulations.Submit a monthly Personnel Activity Report.Ensure implementation of Section 504 procedures:Facilitate evaluations and eligibility.Develop 504 plans.Serve as daily resource to stakeholders.Attend district 504 trainings and meetings.Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Required knowledge, skills & abilities:Provide the tools to enhance scholars' personal, social, and academic growth.Give information sessions on timely topics such as bullying, drugs, and peer pressure.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher.Master’s degree in School Counseling, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred.Valid state Pupil Personnel Services certification/license in school counseling.3-5 years' experience working with children and adolescents with and without disabilities.Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations (IDEA, ADA, Section 504).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.Working Conditions:Hearing and speaking to conduct group training, exchange information in person electronically and over the telephone.Ability to read printed material and computer screens. Ability to understand speech at normal levels.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.Kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies.Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach, walk, sit and stand for extended periods of time. $65,000 - $75,000 a yearAdditional Benefits:
