POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for developing communication and marketing strategies for targeted audiences, both internal and external, through the creative development and delivery of the content across print, digital and electronic venues. This will include researching, writing, editing, proofing and publishing information that effectively and accurately supports the organization's marketing and communications goals and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This includes collaboration with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, as well as other cross-functional teams.

Work with a variety of individuals across the organization in a constructive and collaborative manner to ensure brand consistency and information accuracy for digital, print and media needs.

Provide oversight and collaboration with third party vendors, i.e., graphic designers, web editors, photographers, etc.

Develop and manage content on current and future social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media platforms).

Identify stakeholders and target audiences and create a marketing plan to drive awareness, outreach, revenue and attendance.

Communications

Oversee and establish brand usage guidelines and templates.

Develop content (Web, print, digital, other) that best conveys key messages and meets business goals of organizations.

Develop and implement a newsletter strategy for external audiences in addition to email campaigns and communications (MailChimp).

Manage and review content for organization’s public-facing website, update with fresh content on a regular basis.

Establish and maintain relationships with local, regional and national media outlets as appropriate and submit press releases to media entities.

Oversee digital advertising on key media outlets – Mt. Express, SVPN, EOSV, Calendar of Events, Chamber, Boise Weekly, etc.

Track, measure and report effectiveness of communication programs and marketing and development campaigns.

Collaborate with the Director of Development on marketing materials for donors, events and other needs.

Budget & Finance

Assist in budget development and corrective strategies for marketing and communications and track marketing expenses.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field preferred. Comparable education and experience will be considered.

Passion for the arts and familiarity with the local Wood River Valley community.

Experience with print and digital, and social media platforms.

Excellent writing and grammar skills and general communications abilities - written and verbal are required.

Excellent analytical skills for tracking, measuring and reporting.

Strategic thinker and persuasive communicator who understands the value of relationships.

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office and Google applications.

An exceptional communicator at all levels in the organization with strong oral, written and persuasive skills.

Able to work evenings and weekends during performances.

Highly organized, flexible, collaborative, motivated, and a fast learner.
