repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policiesCompletes all paperwork required to track work and laborWorks with mechanics to:
Repair or replace defective partsTest-operate to verify correction of malfunctionPerform state inspections and complete servicingCollision repair, sanding, prep, and paintingMaintain all trucks, cars, trailers, and equipment to comply with DOT, OSHA/MSHA regulations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR relevant experience and/or trainingBasic knowledge and aptitude for mechanical systemsDriver’s licenseClean driving recordCustomer Service and TeamworkLearning agilityWilling and able to work a 2 nd - or 3 rd -shift scheduleAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)Preferred Skills, Education, and ExperienceRelated experience and/or trainingTechnical school or college in the mechanical fieldExperience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarriesClass A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one yearOSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certificationsPhysical DemandsOccasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, climb, balance, and crawlFrequently stoop, crouch, kneel, and use hands to finger, feel, and graspOccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 poundsWork EnvironmentNoise level is loud at timesRequired to work outdoors in all environments at timesHours regularly exceed 40 in a week and 8 in a day
