Per Diem – Staff Psychiatrist
or
APN
for our Westside Children's Counseling program located in Jersey City, NJ.
(Psychiatrist will work 10 hours a week)West Side Children’s Counseling Center (WSCC) offers various modalities of counseling, psychiatric evaluation, case management and medication management services specially designed for children and adolescents. Program is located in Jersey City serving the youth of Hudson County.SCHEDULE:Flexible/May vary – To be discussed with Hiring ManagerJOB DESCRIPTION:The Staff Psychiatrist will perform the following duties:Regularly attends work in conformance with the schedule designated by the supervisorDiagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent, parents, and clinical teamPrescribes and monitors medication when necessaryPrepares written evaluations and reports as requiredActs as an advocate for the best interests of the clientsProvides crisis consultation and in-service training to staff as neededDevelops and monitors the Agency’s medical policies and proceduresMaintains medical and legal responsibility for the overall treatment provided to the residentsCalls in prescriptions, returns client phone calls, and follows up with referral sourcesReviews and approves the client's service planPerforms any other duties and responsibilities requested by the supervisorJOB REQUIREMENTS:Medical Doctor’s LicenseCurrent N.J.
