Financial Reporting AnalystStarting salary range: $75,000-$85,000/annually, $2,884.62-$3,269.23 Biweekly

Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried

This is an in-office position for the first 100 days. Requires in-office work five (5) days per week. Following the first 100 days, staff have the flexibility to work two (2) days remotely. Mandatory in-office work days are Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

Job Summary:

The role of the Financial Reporting Analyst involves managing, monitoring, and reconciling direct and indirect expenses for government grant programs. They are a key partner to our Compliance team and they prepare financial reporting packages as needed. The Financial Reporting Analyst also provides other financial reports, both internal and external, as required, and participates in the foundation’s audit and tax returns.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance: Prepares the monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the Compliance team for government grant programs. Analyzes direct expenses and calculates indirect costs for government grant programs. Ensures that contribution revenue is recorded accurately in a timely manner for government grant programs.

Financial Reporting: Prepares and distributes financial statements, department budgets, donor statements and other financial reports as needed.

Taxation: Prepares supporting documentation for Form 990 and 990-T tax return preparation for CCF supporting organizations.

Audit: Prepares audit schedules and provides support as needed for CCF’s year-end financial audit.

Cross Training: Trains staff on tasks to be performed as support or alternate. Alternate for Accounts Payables and Cash Receipts processing.

Special Projects: Participates in special projects as assigned by the Financial Reporting Officer, Director of Financial Reporting, Controller, or Chief Financial Officer. Provides backup for other finance staff and as such, must go through training to gain knowledge of other accounting tasks.

General: As appropriate, assist other departments and work as a member of interdepartmental teams to ensure the effective and efficient operations of CCF. At all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned, depending on organizational needs and employee skills.

Job Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required

Work Experience:

Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in Finance/Accounting

Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Project Management Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills are necessary, as well as the ability to take initiative and research tasks.

Technology & Database Skills: Internet competency and strong computer proficiency, including an intermediate level of Microsoft Office software suite and a familiarity with database software, are required. Working knowledge of Blackbaud software preferred, with a willingness and ability to learn appropriate database, spreadsheet, and other computer programs.

Teamwork & General Skills: Ability to work well independently and as a team member. Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion. Ability to lead a team toward CCF's goals, leveraging each team member's skill set.

Working Conditions:

Requires the ability to sit and work at a desk for several hours at a time.

Requires the ability to travel and attend meetings, presentations and events outside the office, which may require occasional use of a motor vehicle for transportation to other locations. Due to the nature of external appointments and/or responsibilities requiring travel to locations not easily accessible by public transportation, driving is an essential job responsibility for this position.

This position is required to be available to speak with clients and/or others while away from the office and/or with clients and/or others located in other time zones outside Foundation business hours.

Work may require weekends and/or extended workday.

Punctuality and satisfactory attendance are essential functions of the job.
