Railroad SwitchmanMonitors switch points to ensure switch is properly alignedObserves & monitors track conditions, broken rails, defective switches & weather-related issuesClimbs equipment to set/release handbrakesCross trained to assist as a Terminal Operator including groundworkCouples & uncouples air hoses between railcarsRemoves & replaces broken knuckles (75lb railcar connector)Rides moving cars via grab irons or laddersObserves, interprets & relays hand/lantern/other signals affecting movement of the trainJudges & controls speed & clearance distance of carsWhat We Offer:

RequirementsMinimum 2-3 years switching or conductor experience preferredValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to lift 50lbs.Open availability (Shifts, Holiday, Weekends)Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsPlease note: All positions require pre-employment background verification, physical review, and pre-employment drug screen. Cannabis is strictly prohibited and will result in pre-employment drug screen failure per the Federal Railroad Administration safety regulations and standards for railroad operations.
