Junior Derivatives Trader

What You’ll Do:At Valkyrie, Derivatives Traders are responsible for operating our proprietary trading system and being fully responsible for day-to-day PnL and risk. You’re directly facing the market every day, and seeing the immediate impact of your decisions. After completing our rigorous training program, including several weeks of live trading, you’ll join an existing team to continue learning how to successfully manage our trading strategies. From there, your responsibilities will only grow, as you perform and operate under the supervision of a senior trader.

What You’ll Need:Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or equivalentPassion for the financial marketsStrong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skillsEntrepreneurial attitude with a keen attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to make split-second logical decisions in a high-pressure environmentCompetitive drive and the maturity to handle considerable responsibilityCapability to quickly recover from mistakesQuantitative Analysis skills are a plusProgramming experience preferred
