The Position:Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking an Analyst to join the Financial Planning team as part of the 2025 Kaufman Hall Analyst Program. Since introducing the concept of corporate finance-based planning to the healthcare field in 1983, Kaufman Hall has prepared hundreds of strategic financial and capital plans for hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide. Kaufman Hall’s breadth and depth of experience has enabled clients to manage their strategic financial and capital planning and decision–making processes efficiently and effectively. Our approach to strategic and financial planning is grounded in a deep understanding of both the healthcare industry and the capital markets.

The Financial Planning practice is seeking self-motivated, intellectually curious professionals with a genuine interest in healthcare to join our 2025 Kaufman Hall Analyst Program. This provides Analysts interested in financial and capital planning, merger & acquisition transactions, and financial modeling with the opportunity to work with our enterprise-level healthcare clients to help solve some of their most pressing issues. During the course of the Analyst Program, Analysts will be staffed on client engagements and support the delivery of strategic and financial-related services to our clients, working alongside Associates, Senior Associates, AVPs, VPs, SVPs, and Managing Directors.

Following an initial three-week training and onboarding period of intensive classroom training on the current healthcare landscape (Healthcare 101) and core skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), Analysts will be staffed on multiple client engagements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supporting multiple Financial Planning engagements at any given timeAnalyze and evaluate financial statements (including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements)Provide support to establish financial model structure, collect historic data, and develop financial projectionsCreating and applying industry-leading solutions to the most challenging strategic and organizational issues facing our clientsKeeping apprised of projects to ensure critical milestones are met, timelines are adhered to and changes are properly communicatedScheduling client meetings, drafting agendas, taking and circulating meeting notes, and fulfilling other client management support rolesBuilding presentations and completed work product to be presented to clients and Board membersSupporting the needs of the practice beyond client-specific work as requiredDelivering high quality work with integrityQualifications:We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong history of academic excellence and leadership, personally and professionally.
