Accounting Manager

Target Range:$115,000.00/Yr. - $125,000.00/Yr.Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.About This JobExecuting and monitoring the accounting of the company in respective area, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, enhance the accuracy of the entity's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and SOX standards. In charge of the management of 1-2 individuals or processes as well as 1-2 areas of responsibilities.Responsibilities:Assist accounting senior management in maintaining and updating a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and process documentsReview and process approved GL maintenance transactionsComplete primary review of specified reconciliations, including daily intercompany transactions and operationsComplete primary review and release of specified manual journal entriesImplement new accounting systems and integrate current systems to reduce manual processes and automate controlsAssist in executing the month end close process as directed by accounting senior managementPrepare support for independent public accounting auditors, regulators and internal auditors as directed by accounting senior managementCreate cradle to grave processes from the technical aspects of an area through the application (including SOX requirements)Create analysis related to new regulatory or business models, including adapting analysis on process to incorporate new products or initiativesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years' progressively responsible experience in the accounting function for a bank / other financial institution or in public accounting audits of banks / other financial institutionsExperience with ERP system, preferred Oracle and implementationDemonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives, and analyzing and processing critical accounting functions in a high growth environmentPrinciples of business writingPreferred:CPAAxos Employee Benefits May Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings PlanEmployee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout Axos:Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
