SUMMARY

Wealth Resources is a ‘Center of Excellence’ within the Wealth Management business unit supporting client activities, department growth, and the associated functional internal controls. The ‘Director of Wealth Resources’ will report to the Managing Director, Wealth Operations & Innovation, and have supervision of the Wealth Resources team and responsibility for ensuring workflows and processes relating to client onboarding, funds movement, tax payment processing, internal controls, daily vendor communication, and other tasks and processes with high client impact, are completed timely and accurately within established procedures.

The Director of Wealth Resources will serve as the principal resource to the Wealth Management front office and investment teams, supporting client relationships and serving as a proactive, client-focused, trusted business partner to internal and external clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences.

College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wealth Management experience preferred.

Strong leadership and team coaching skills.

Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service to both internal and external clients.

Ability to effectively delegate tasks and projects while monitoring progress to completion.

Strong knowledge of Wealth Management, Private Bank, & Fiduciary procedures, documentation and processing requirements.

Strong knowledge and familiarity of Wealth Management systems and workflows.

Strong to expert level technical skills including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages the Wealth Resources Team including, Wealth Resources Specialists, Internal Control Analysts, to include training, process improvements, scheduling, department coverage and knowledge of division needs.

Analyzes and adjusts workloads and workflows of direct reports as needed; to define and implement “best practices” which define the most efficient way to conduct specific processes, meeting service level standards and lean thinking concepts.

Uses good judgment, experience, and job knowledge to assist staff in resolving complex daily workflow issues.

Coordinates the business unit’s development of service level agreements with other units and performs periodic performance evaluation of them relative to those agreements.

Coordinates support for various client facing and functional areas such as front office, investments, and operations.

Develops and maintains relationships with internal bank partners to enhance communication between the teams.

Develops and maintains standards for Relationship/Operations Team tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and bank policy, as well as ensuring premium customer service to both internal and external clients.

Serves as a trusted business partner by answering Relationship Team questions promptly, accurately, and effectively, suggesting expert solutions.

Supports training of Wealth Management staff with continued involvement in development of procedures and training materials.

Regularly participates in continuing education as it relates to Wealth Management, fiduciary responsibilities and related industry knowledge.

Proven ability to facilitate meetings keeping the audience on track and engaged.

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Leads a team of Wealth Resources staff in a middle office environment.

Conducts interviews and makes recommendations for hiring.

Completes employee annual reviews for direct reports.

Create and monitor training plans for direct reports.

Integrates effective Internal Controls into all applicable work processes. Maintains a working knowledge of Internal Controls with particular attention to Key Controls. Is responsible for ensuring that updates to Internal Controls documentation are performed timely when there are changes in the risk parameters and/or workflow.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 10% travel.
