We have a new opening for an experienced Financial Advisor at our Palo Alto Experience Center to work with members who conduct banking at our 3 South Bay Experience Centers. This role will partner closely with one of our premier bankers to meet ongoing member needs and will be part of the largest credit union investment program by AUM in the United States - Addison Avenue Investment Services.Our Financial Advisors assist clients in identifying the best financial solutions based on their unique needs and risk tolerance and act as a trusted advisors and advocates. Qualified candidates will have at least five years of experience in the sale and delivery of personal investment products and services, with a proven track record in production and growing assets under management.Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:Job duties

Assist members, prospects, and clients with financial planning, insurance and investment products offered

Provide clients assistance and education with concentrated technology stock positions, tax efficiencies, estate planning, etc.

Partner with Premier Banker to access High Net Worth & Ultra High Net Worth prospects and to provide Wealth Management to this group

Guide clients through goal setting, financial planning & portfolio analysis

Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects & clients by tracking their financial successes and keeping them informed of industry, market & regulatory changes that may affect their finances

Leverage technology, such as financial planning & client relationship management software

Maintain member files and records to comply with the requirements of National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) and Insurance Agency (Agency) regulators

Serve as a liaison between client & other financial professionals, such as CPAs, Attorneys, etc.

Interface with mutual fund companies, insurance companies, clearinghouse and broker/dealer for any member needs or services

Coordinate, conduct, and maintain approved promotional campaigns for First Tech as needed and/or appropriate promotional campaigns specific to the unique or unusual needs of the Experience Center (branch) to grow new clients & maintain current ones

Keep informed of current success of investment products offered and of new products being made available through broker dealer

Prepare all new business for submission to Raymond James for processing, using standard OSJ procedures

Essential skills

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a financial advisor in the sale, consultation and delivery of personal investment products and services with the proven ability to act as a trusted advisor and advocateDemonstrated ability to use discretion and judgment when working with clients, professionally handling sensitive information with discretionAbility to create and deliver dynamic and engaging presentations with the ability to tailor messages to the audienceAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy, and efficiencyAbility to organize, analyze and interpret data to reach sound decisions and guide investors based on individual risk tolerancesAbility to assess individual client needs and foster strong relationshipsExceptional interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external business partnersProficiency with basic to complex mathematical calculationsPossess an in-depth understanding of the financial industry, financial concepts and the mathematics behind them, high-level product knowledge, competitive intel and client-service strategiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning softwareExposure to a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is preferredMinimum Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferredCertification/Licenses :Series 7, 63/65 or 66 licenses, Life & Disability Insurance license required; CFP preferredClean U-4Location:

This position will support 3 of our branches: Palo Alto, Cupertino and San Jose in CaliforniaTarget Compensation in Palo Alto, CA:
