Your success is our success.JOB SUMMARY:Manufacture standard production and customized aircraft furniture.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Work from orders and blueprints to build and assemble small aircraft furniture per specifications. May work under guidance of higher grade furniture builder(s).Operates equipment such as table saw, band saw, platen press, hand and table router and sander with minimal assistance.Uses small and large power tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, routers, saws, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments.Use of precision measurement devices.Operates spray gun for adhesive spray according to company specifications.Applies laminate and veneer to composite and other materials.Accurately record information required for data collection and material traceability with assistance.Understand and respond to budget hours and schedule requirements with assistance.Responsible only for own work.Performs other related duties as required.Manage inventory and usage of associated parts for assigned project.Initiates changes on job order and bill of materials following established procedures.Fully understand and respond to budget hours and schedule requirements.Responsible for leading, guiding, and directing other employees on Furniture Building needs.Responsible for training new and current team members on processes and procedures.Instruct and direct workflow of furniture builders to meet production schedule.Write and understand QN process when needed.Uphold mentoring and leadership qualities in the department.Responsible for own work and overseeing/approving work of others in furniture build.EDUCATION:Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.EXPERIENCE:2-3 years of related experience in assembly and/or composite.WORKING CONDITIONS:Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.This role is eligible for a $4,000 (pre-tax) sign-on bonus. Terms & conditions apply.
