Overview:The Portfolio Analyst is a member of the Natixis Investment Solutions Portfolio Management Team within the Portfolio Analysis & Consulting Group. The core responsibilities of this role are to assist the portfolio management team in the investment management functions associated with the multi-asset class model programs, investments, and assets managed by Natixis Investment Management Solutions.The responsibilities of this position include using analytical tools to analyze, monitor, trade, and report on the model portfolios as well as strategies underlying investments (mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs).This position demands refined analytical, quantitative, technical, and inter-personal skills. Also required is a subject matter proficiency in Fin-tech software and applications, quantitative analytics, investment product and capital market/macro-research, data visualization, and business intelligence reporting.This is a hybrid role located in Boston.What you will do:Develop a lead role in supporting the end-to-end multi-asset class model portfolio management process (i.e. trading through reporting).Facilitate risk and performance attribution reporting on all strategies to identify key factors affecting the strategies.Develop knowledge of all investment vehicles and all asset classes covered including equity (both domestic and international), fixed income, and a variety of allocation and alternative investment strategies.Assist portfolio managers in researching investment rationale and developing content distributed internally to the Natixis Sales Teams as well as content distributed externally to Natixis clients/financial advisors and sponsor firms.Actively participate in the investment research efforts centered around asset class surveillance on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment product analysis.Participate in manager search, selection, and review activities in support of Natixis Investment Managers Solutions multi-asset models.Attend Investment Committee and sub-committee meetings as required and actively contribute to macro strategy discussions and research initiatives.Create efficiencies and automation by capitalizing on the use of all proprietary and licensed data and technology.What you will bring:1-3 years’ experience monitoring and evaluating investment management strategies.Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field.Progress towards advanced degree or industry designation or desire to pursue strongly preferred.Strong technology skills with risk and analytic software (FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar), plus any coding and advanced Excel skills.Ability to think critically and research and analyze data.Eloquent and persuasive communicator (verbal and written).Outstanding client service / interpersonal skills.Ability to work on multiple issues / projects simultaneously.Resourceful results driven problem solver.Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.FINRA Series 7 License (or achieved within 6 months).Who we are:We put the best interests of our clients, employees, communities, and environment first in everything we do.
