The Vice President, Corporate Finance will manage and coordinate financial reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting activities. Develop and implement tools, applications, and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Partner with Corporate & Marketing functional leaders to monitor and explain monthly financial performance, generate forecast updates, build annual budgets, assist with capital expense requests, vendor management and payment, analytics, and other financial support. Serve as key PE contact with M&A and integration activities. Manage a team of financial analysts.Essential Duties:Serve as a strategic partner to Newport's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior management team.Build and manage a high capability finance team to coordinate consolidated periodic financial projections, meet reporting timelines, and support corporate functions.Lead the development of required processes and implement an enterprise planning application to support a rolling 8-quarter forecast update process. Align team resources and coordinate with operational Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to generate accurate projections rapidly.Manage annual budgeting process; direct the activities and timeline, build consensus around key assumptions, and leverage 8-quarter rolling forecast process to efficiently generate the annual budget.Responsible for maintaining commercial banking relationships; ensuring services match the needs of the business and proactively manage fees.Serve as a point person to handle periodic lender requests for information.Manage team and process to maintain 13-week cash forecast; play an integral role in cash management.Work closely with other members of the Finance team to calculate management and lender adjustments to EBITDA as part of the monthly reporting process.Manage variable rate debt contracts, interest and principal payments, and borrowing proactively.Responsible for coordinating with VP and Controller to generate quarterly lender certifications, covenant calculations, and other required lender reporting.Accountable for generating consolidated monthly financial performance reporting for board of directors, including summarized financial statements, KPIs, comparisons to budget or forecast, and explanations for key variances and cash flow.Accountable for generating highly professional quarterly board presentations. Coordinate with key stakeholders across the business to gather content, manage the review and editing process, and ensure completion for distribution to the board of directors in advance of the meeting.Serve as a key Private Equity (PE) sponsor contact for financial performance questions and information requests; triage requests as needed among the finance and accounting teams.Handle periodic reporting requirements from PE sponsor; align resources and internal reporting to enable rapid and accurate responses.Align team resources to partner with Corporate and Marketing functional leaders to monitor and explain monthly financial performance, generate forecast updates, build annual budgets, assist with capital expense requests, vendor management and payment, analytics, and financial support.Support business development effort with tracking and analysis. Play an active role in the due diligence process for acquisition targets.Facilitate updates or creation of specific acquisition integration plans for accounting, AP, payroll and finance, and align resources to keep project plans up to date, identify opportunities and risks. Build and maintain an acquisition synergy tracker.Identify, build plans, and hold teams accountable for achieving performance improvement targets and completing major initiatives.Qualifications
