The NIMH Office of Management (OM) provides strategic leadership, direction, oversight and consultation on the business and management operations in support of the Institute’s scientific mission. This position is located within the Budget & Analytics Branch (BAB) in the OM.Position Duties

The incumbent must have the ability to work independently and possess strong communication skills. The selectee will be responsible for assisting staff with all phases of the budget process to include formulation, presentation and execution. Applicants must be able to assemble and analyze accurate data for presentation to senior management; organize results of analyses into coherent written or graphical reports and presentations; allocate, monitor and evaluate expenditure of account funds; and develop and implement methods, procedures, and systems to enhance and refine the monitoring and management of Division and Institute-supported programs and data. The ability to demonstrate a high-level of competency with existing enterprise and institute-level databases and data analysis systems and applications to research, gather, and analyze complex data and make recommendations based on analysis is preferred.Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years related management experience. Proficiency with IT software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Skill in querying data and applying both analytical and evaluative methods and techniques is a must. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize complex tasks are essential.The Budget Analyst will be selected at a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
