GRF (CPAs & Advisors): For-Profit Audit SupervisorCompany SummaryThe team you would be joining is a full-service professional services firm providing clients with audit and assurance, tax, outsourced accounting, and advisory solutions.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Audit Supervisor to join our Audit practice. The Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the staff during audit engagements, delegating assignments to staff, and ensuring financial statements are completed according to standard. They will have the opportunity to audit, primarily for-profit organizations and government contractors. They will train staff, review working papers, resolve problems with the audit and communicate findings to the client. The Audit Supervisor will interface with clients remotely to start, but must be flexible to manage engagements at client's premises in the future. Because we have clients in more than 100 countries, our auditors have many opportunities to travel internationally if they so desire.Location: Washington-Baltimore metro area ~ 3 days onsite/2 days WFHSalary: $120,000 - $140,000Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assumes full responsibility for supervising engagements and special assignments using established firm policies & procedures and managerial directionPlans & coordinates various phases of engagements and monitors actual performance against budgetReviews working papers for accuracy & completenessResolves accounting & auditing problems as they ariseProvides supervision and on the job training to staff assigned to engagementStudies and evaluates client's internal controlCommunicates engagement's progress, problems, resolutions, financial information, tax activity and other business concerns to the clientPrepares or reviews financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, and tax returns for later discussion between manager or partner and the clientPrepares staff evaluation reportsTravel 10% internationally and 20% domestically to perform audits at client sitesRequirements5+ years of experience in public accounting requiredBachelor's degree in AccountingShould possess a current & valid CPA license and be in good standing with the American Institute of CPAsMust have strong Microsoft Office skills and be well versed in relevant accounting software.
