How You'll Perform the Role The Vice President of Finance, Waddington, is a key leadership role in the Food & Delivery segment ($3.5B segment). It will provide leadership over all aspects of finance and accounting for the Waddington business ($700M+ business unit). This role will serve as a key strategic partner to both the SVP of Finance for Food & Delivery and to the General Manager of Waddington North America. This role will also support and provide guidance to the Waddington Europe leadership team (General Manager - Waddington Europe & Finance Director - Waddington Europe). This role will partner cross-functionally to support efforts to drive volume, expand margins, and generate strong cash flow. The successful candidate will maintain financial reporting and internal/accounting controls in order to provide appropriate financial and operating information. They will develop, analyze, interpret, and drive operating results in terms of profitability, performance, productivity and operational excellence. They will be expected to lead efforts to improve finance/accounting capabilities. This position reports directly to the SVP of Finance for Food & Delivery and operationally to the business GM. Key Responsibilities: Act as a key business partner to the Business Unit General Manager and contribute to strategy and operational/commercial execution. Drive accurate, concise, and useful financial reporting. Report and analyze operational and commercial performance, highlight areas of opportunity, and drive actions. Provide financial leadership and support on M&A activity, capital investments, pricing, and other key decisions. Manage monthly P&L forecast process by providing an accurate financial outlook, a clear understanding of business trends, and the risks/opportunities to influence results. Coordinate and direct the annual budgeting process and ensure close alignment with the F&D segment, corporate FP&A, and corporate accounting. Connect across all functions (pricing, procurement, operations, commercial, etc) to assure optimized business performance, identify gaps, and ensure results. Deliver accurate and timely monthly closing while ensuring all critical accounting processes are complete (financial reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, etc.). Manage and develop the Waddington finance team to include hiring, retaining, developing/coaching, interviewing, hiring and performance management. What We Need From You Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field. 10-15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years directly managing people and teams. Excellent business partnership skills with a record of collaborating across functions and levels within an organization to accomplish team goals. Strongly prefer candidates with significant experience in manufacturing businesses. Excellent leadership abilities as well as interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking, ability to simplify the complex, make/drive decisions, and adapt to changing environment. Clearly understand ERP and integrated financial systems, with the ability to help simplify and streamline financial reporting. Proven analytical and financial skills, demonstrated strong economic thinking. Flexible, strategic, change agent, with demonstrated process improvement skills. Minimal travel involved.
