Our client is a family office. They seek a Family Office Controller to join their Los Angeles, CA office.
Responsibilities
Draft monthly financials and special reports, including analyses for multiple locations
Review bank reconciliations and produce weekly cash-flash updates for over 30 accounts
Carry out commercial real estate accounting including annual rent escalations
Adhere to federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
Document asset purchases and sales from transaction reports and closing statements
Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Assist CFO with risk management and philanthropic activity
Manage the financial corporate accounting function including managing financial close
Calculate budgets by establishing schedules and collecting and consolidating financial data
Implement and maintain estate planning techniques and related documentation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
15+ years of accounting experience
Family office experience required
Self-starter and proactive demeanor
Excellent communication skills
CPA required
Skilled in Quickbooks
