Job Posting: Sr. Process Engineer (Photolithography)
Overview:
Are you eager to work on the cutting edge of technology? Join our team as a Sr. Process Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in developing and integrating photolithography semiconductor equipment. This role is based primarily in Portland, Oregon, with potential training opportunities in Texas, Oregon, or Japan.
Location:
Portland, Oregon (with potential training in Texas, Oregon, or Japan)
Responsibilities:
Support the process qualification, development, and integration of semiconductor equipment.
Establish new wafer fabrication process technologies for semiconductor manufacturing.
Design and conduct tests, analyze data, and present findings.
Collaborate with various experts to enhance manufacturing processes.
Evaluate new hardware and software with high quality.
Identify and resolve issues effectively.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations.
Interact with customers with minimal supervision.
Must Have:
Education:
PhD preferred, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
Experience or knowledge in optical systems, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals.
Software Knowledge:
Familiarity with Linux operating systems for system operation and troubleshooting.
Mechanical Skills:
Hands-on mechanical skills preferred.
Testing Experience:
Practical experience with electronic testing tools required.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other engineers under challenging conditions.
Communication:
Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
Customer Support:
Experience in customer support is a plus.
Additional Information:
Travel:
Must be able to travel and work flexible schedules. Domestic and international travel may be required. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary.
Environment:
Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment for most of the day (including wearing protective clothing such as cleanroom suits, facemasks, gloves, and safety glasses).
Physical Requirements:
Position requires continuous physical effort including standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Lifting more than 25 pounds requires assistance. Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
Compliance:
Must comply with safety guidelines and policies, demonstrate knowledge of Haz/Com regulations, and adapt to varying atmospheric conditions (dust, fumes, noise, and temperatures within OSHA standards).
