The Harris for President campaign (HFP) is in search of a highly skilled Platform Manager to spearhead our efforts in leveraging our Principals’ voices, amplifying our core messages and creating community with our supporters on YouTube. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Platforms, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our YouTube and YouTube Shorts strategy to amplify the Vice President's voice, engage diverse audiences, and drive meaningful interactions on the platform. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the campaign's YouTube presence aligned with overall campaign objectives and messaging.Collaborate with the Director of Digital Platforms, the Digital Rapid Response team, Video Teams, social media managers, graphic designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across platforms.Oversee the campaign's YouTube channel, including content scheduling, metadata optimization, and audience engagement strategies to maximize reach and impact.Draft and copy edit social media plans. Previous experience managing high-profiled YouTube accounts is highly necessary.Drive engagement efforts on YouTube by fostering interactions with viewers through comments, community posts, and live streams, and actively participating in relevant discussions.Implement strategies to promote campaign videos across YouTube and YouTube Shorts, including cross-promotion with influencers, and collaborations with other channels to increase visibility and reach.Monitor and analyze key metrics on YouTube, such as watch time, engagement, and subscriber growth, to assess the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for growth.Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices on YouTube, including algorithm updates, video formats, and audience preferences, and proactively integrate them into the campaign's YouTube strategy.Work closely with the Director of Digital Platforms, the Digital Rapid Response team, social media managers, design and video teams and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all digital platforms.Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Four to six years of experience in social media management, with a focus on YouTube strategy, preferably in a political or advocacy setting.Advanced knowledge of YouTube's platform dynamics, algorithm, and best practices for content optimization, audience engagement, and channel growth.Experience in video production, editing, and optimization for online platforms, with a strong understanding of storytelling techniques and visual communication principles.A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies to achieve campaign objectives on YouTube, including YouTube Shorts.Proficiency in YouTube analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making and optimize performance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage with viewers effectively on YouTube.A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.A passion for politics and enthusiasm about working to elect Kamala Harris.Be a team player!Willingness to relocate to Wilmington, DE.
