The Demand Planner creates and maintains the OCloud DM toolset forecast for all BBU customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, promotional & replenishment analysts. May include gathering & collecting input signals from other sources (i.e., Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data). This position is the talent pool for the Demand Manager and IBP Manager positions within the BBU Organization.The Demand Planner is the integration point between the sales, promotional, NPI, Financial, and Supply Chain planning teams. Basic forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position. This position leads the dialogue each month for the BBU IBP Demand Review and creating the Consensus plan for the organizationESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Develop the demand plan (operational forecasts) at multiple aggregation levels for various time horizons as part of a demand planning function.Review statistical forecast trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model. (Overrides)Conduct updated sales, promotional, and NPI marketing assumptions.Interact with sales, marketing, promotions, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Promotional, and Customer Finance teams to obtain and ensure that information is current and accurate for demand forecasts.Use and maintain the OCloud DM application as the primary forecasting system tool.Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing production & inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.Closely coordinate and communicate customer/channel action plans with supply planningCreate statistical forecasts:Gather, analyze and validate dataExecute OCloud DM applicationReview resulting statistical forecast modelApply error analysis techniques to improve forecastingSummarize/aggregate statistical forecastsReview sales/promotional forecast, customer finance budget updates, or latest estimates and demand drivers:Present, consolidate, and assess feedback on the monthly IBP Demand Review from sales, promotion, NPI, and financeRecommend adjustments for operational forecastsReview input and action plans from the previous IBP cycleAchieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating the monthly IBP Demand ReviewPrepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussionProvide input to the annual planning process (AOP)Facilitate and manage a 12-month rolling demand planningAchieve consensus with the business side and the supply chainMaintain demand planning system (OCloud DM application)Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of the product hierarchyMonitor trends in forecast error (Bias)Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligencePrepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to the demand planning processMakes recommendations to improve forecast quality based on knowledge of forecasting methodologies, statistical modeling, and supply chain practicesReports forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, BIAS) including rationale for trends/changesConducts analytics to tackle business problems with an end to end attitudeActively participate system upgradationSupply Chain Optimization Through S&OP ProcessesConsolidates inputs for S&OP review meetings, including building and/or consolidating presentation materials.Provides necessary data and analytics to support transparent discussion and communication of risk and opportunities through the S&OP cycle.Position Requirements :SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :NoneCAPABILITIES:Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively and creatively in an independent resource environmentDetail orientated, organized, reliable, resourceful with a relentless focus on outcomesAbility to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize under pressureExcellent consultative skills and the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organizationCapable leadership and communication skills concentrated on data gathering, meeting facilitation, and data disseminationSKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:System skills to manage demand planning tasks using planning applications, ERP, and data warehousing/ancillary systems (Oracle Cloud base Planning & ERP systems)Strong project management and communication skills concentrated on data gathering and disseminationAPICS Certification; CPIM/CSCPDetailed and result orientated project management on several projects at the same time.Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloadEXPERIENCE:3 -5 years of experience in Demand Planning -preferably in food manufacturingBusiness or Operations experience, with solid quantitative skillsEDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or Business requiredThe physical and mental demands described in each job posting are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of each job.
