Join Us

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to join our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) programs in Maryland. The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders in a structured, yet flexible treatment environment. The SUD Counselor will facilitate recovery through individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and ongoing support, helping clients achieve sustained sobriety.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.Must be licensed or certified in the state of Maryland as an LCPC, LCADC, LGADC, LCSW-C, or similar.Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance use counseling, preferably in an inpatient or detox setting.Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, excellent communication and counseling skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health status, and readiness for outpatient treatment.Lead evidence-based individual and group counseling sessions that focus on addiction education, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and recovery skills tailored to the IOP/OP setting.Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on achievable recovery goals in the outpatient setting.Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to support clients' holistic recovery needs.Facilitate family counseling sessions and provide education and support to families to enhance the recovery process and strengthen the support system.Maintain accurate and timely records of all client interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary documentation in compliance with state and facility regulations.Educate clients and their families about addiction, the recovery process, and available resources while advocating for clients needs within the community.Assist clients in creating and implementing a long-term recovery plan, including referrals to support groups, continued care options, and other resources.

Job Type: Full Time and Part Time

Pay: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
