Executive Vice President - Project Management (Transmission/Substation Projects)Job SummaryThe Executive Vice President - Project Management (Transmission/Substation Projects) is a pivotal executive role responsible for the oversight and successful delivery of all transmission and substation projects within the organization. This position demands exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and deep expertise in managing large-scale, complex energy infrastructure projects. The EVP of Project Management will lead a team of senior project managers, ensuring that all projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and a commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership:

Develop and execute the overall project management strategy for transmission and substation projects, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and growth plans.Provide leadership and direction to the project management team, ensuring the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of all projects.Collaborate with executive leadership to establish project priorities, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Project Portfolio Management:

Oversee the management of a diverse portfolio of transmission and substation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Ensure that all projects adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Monitor and report on project performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.Drive the standardization of project management practices across the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify and manage project risks, including technical, financial, and operational risks, to minimize impact on project delivery.Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry-specific standards and guidelines.Lead the development of contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as the primary executive point of contact for key clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, promoting collaboration and transparency.Represent the organization at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and other public forums, positioning the company as a leader in the transmission and substation sector.

Operational Excellence:

Implement best practices in project management, resource allocation, and operational efficiency to optimize project delivery.Leverage technology and innovation to enhance project management processes, improving productivity and reducing costs.Ensure that all project teams are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to deliver projects successfully.

Financial Management:

Oversee the financial performance of the project management division, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Ensure that all projects are delivered within budget, with a focus on maximizing profitability while maintaining quality and safety standards.Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making.

Talent Development & Leadership:

Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent within the project management division.Mentor and develop senior project managers, ensuring a high level of expertise and leadership capability within the team.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, promoting professional growth and development.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within the transmission, substation, or power infrastructure sector.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex transmission and substation projects.Deep knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems, substation construction, and industry-specific regulations and standards.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on strategic thinking, collaboration, and execution.Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Financial acumen with extensive experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
