This is a faculty position, as such requires providing clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in research and scholarly activities. Protected time and an attractive start up package for a research focused faculty is available.Position SummaryProvide clinical care to patients admitted to Children's Hospital of Illinois and ambulatory clinics. Participate in teaching medical students and residents, and scholarly activities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical services (inpatient and outpatient).Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals.Conduct clinical and/or translational research in the field of Pediatric Infectious Disease.Participate in infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship committees.Provide phone consultations for other hospitals and Pediatric offices in Illinois.Provide guidance for community outbreaks (measles and tuberculosis).Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMD/DO degree or equivalentBC/BE in Pediatric Infectious DiseaseWill hold or eligible for an Illinois physician licenseAbout University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria (UICOMP) Department of Pediatrics and OSF Healthcare Children's Hospital of Illinois:UICOMP is one of the three regional campuses of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest public medical schools in the country.
