The Production Planner is responsible for production planning using all available scheduling tools and resources to utilize multiple plant resources at the Barberton, OH and Monroeville, PA locations. The Production Planner will coordinate the release of orders and rescheduling based on resources and inventory to optimize short- and long-range production plans.You will be located at PPG's Barberton, OH plant and will report to the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities:Schedule shop orders based on customer demand and internal capacity.Release orders based on material availability, production availability and customer requirements.Interface with Production/Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Program Managers and Engineering to align, build strategy and assure tactical execution.Resolve problems/conflicts that may prevent achieving customer requested delivery dates.Assure all aspects of shop orders are planned completely and orders are released to the floor.Support the master schedule with the sizing and scheduling of new orders.Review scheduling and re-scheduling requests for existing orders. Analyze bill of material and production requirements to determine PPG's ability to achieve the requested delivery date.Qualifications5+ years of experience in a production environment involving material planning, production planning and master scheduling.Microsoft Excel, SAP, and MRP base system experience.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
