Job Description

The role of the Systems Integration Manager, or SIM, is to plan, execute and finalize the commissioning and testing activities for new build or retrofit automation projects. The SIM will own field installation, testing, and troubleshooting through go-live and ramp-up phases ensuring deadlines are met, KPI performance metrics are intact and adhere to budget and schedule.

The SIM will lead all development teams in launching greenfield automated cold storage sites, working side by side with the Project Engineering Manager, the Systems Engineer, the Commissioning Manager, automation and software suppliers, and internal IT & systems teams managing all facets of the interior automation installs within cold storage warehouses. They will support Americold's local and regional operations and maintenance teams pre- and post- go-live to ensure a smooth transition including training, acceptance, ownership, spare parts management and preventive maintenance occurs for all automated systems.

This person will also function as a subject matter expert across software systems (WES/WCS), controls, mechatronics and hardware/devices, applying best practices to improve facility operations and business processes through sustained automation / mechanical reliability, and analytics/metrics development-reporting.

What you'll do:Develop and execute project work plans, commissioning schedules and transition plans in cooperation with the Americold PM & operations teams AND the Automation Supplier commissioning teamsLead/support all major PLC/WES/WCS/WMS and other system conversions to ensure defect-free launches for automated warehousesUnderstand and troubleshoot any problems in integration of mechanical, electrical, or controls systems to enable rate and cycle timeAugment User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Operational Readiness Tests, working with site analysts, project managers, and super-users internal and from external OEM vendors to run all simulations and scripts required to support successful launches and turnoversLead gap analysis of future PLC/WES/WCS/WMS implementations with the Systems Engineer and the Commissioning Manager to identify process performance shortfallsWhat you'll need:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and/or equivalent experience Mechatronics/Automation7+ years of site implementation experience and leadership for automated, complex sites5+ years' experience in Engineering and/or Automation Operations preferredExperience managing large systems and physical programs including PLC/WES/WCS/WMS conversions, launches, and automation go-livesMust be able to work remotely and travel an estimated 75-85% of the time to support projectsWhat could set you apart:

Technically advanced in managing warehouse management systems (WMS preferably Blue Yonder) and warehouse execution systems (WES), implementations, and PLC controls a plus (WCS: Siemens, Allen Bradley/Rockwell)Proficient with data mining & data analysis tools; SQL/database query/extraction, Cobra, Excel, Power BI, Jaspersoft, etc.Systems Engineering experience and ongoing site supportPhysical Requirements:

The Company's good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is $128,000 - $142,000 annually. Rate may vary based on work location.
