Plans, coordinates, and implements the quality management and quality improvement programs for hospital and medical staff initiatives with concentration on the Surgical Service Line patient populations in both the hospital and outpatient settings. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and regulatory compliance functions. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards.Presents data to Medical Staff Departments, Committees and interdisciplinary PI Teams.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Performs a variety of tasks and must have the flexibilityto take on additional duties as assigned.Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Analytical ability, business and professional writing along with strong organizational skills is necessary. Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing with three years of prior nursing experience is preferred to have the knowledge of clinical processes, practices and administrative structure of health care.Current registered nurse licensure by the State of Alabama is required.Reports to the Quality Manager and Chief Quality Officer.
