Job Description

Technomic

provides foodservice clients around the globe with the research, insights, and strategic consulting support they need to enhance their business strategies, decisions, and results. Our services range from major research studies and management consulting solutions to online databases and simple fact-finding assignments. Our clients include food manufacturers and distributors, restaurants and retailers, other foodservice organizations, and various institutions aligned with the food industry.

This role is based in our Downtown Chicago, IL, office. Technomic has a flexible, hybrid approach to work location - this position will be in the office two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays with remote hours option the remainder of the week. The position will average 16 hours per week.

Position ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze foodservice industry research by phone, website, or secondary sourcesConduct special projects and make direct contact within the food industryContribute to quantitative analyses, including crosstabulations, data table building and data interpretationVisualize quantitative and qualitative research findingsParticipate in data analysis, project ideation and other activities that will help build knowledge and expertise about the market research processDraft custom reports (Power Point and Word) from quantitative and qualitative data sourcesClearly communicate with project leaders about project timeline and statusKeep to a schedule with deadlinesQualifications

Must be currently enrolled in college pursuing a bachelor's degree in market research, business, statistics, data science, social sciences or any other related degreeAbility to work 16 hours a week and commit to being in office at least 2 days a weekMust be reliable and able to set consistent work hours contingent upon class scheduleAttention to detail is a mustExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommunicate well within the team environmentInquisitive nature, asking questions and have a willingness to learnProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointProficiency with using the internet as a research toolExperience and an interest in the foodservice industry a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the futureAdditional Information

The salary range for this role is 16.20 per hour at 16 hours per week.
