Seeking a conscientious, thoughtful caretaker with experience tending to older adults.The individual will possess an active Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. This position provides daily supervision and care to Adult Wellness Center participants and in accordance with Illinois Department on Aging Administrative Code, Title 89: Social Services Chapter II: Department on Aging Part 240 Community Care Program, Adult Day Services. This position will provide direct care, support and supervision of Adult Wellness Center participants by assisting participants with daily living and personal care. They will actively engage and assistant participants in games, crafts, music and other program activities.This position offers hourly compensation at $17.72/hour, and offers medical, vision, dental insurance, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits.Position Highlights Plans and facilitates a wide variety of daily educational, recreational, therapeutic, nutritional and social activities to meet the needs of the participants, under guidance of Program Supervisor.Monitors and records vital signs and other relevant health information, to support the nurse.Supports participants with daily living and personal care as needed, including but not limited to, assistance with feeding/eating, toileting/hygiene assistance, ambulation, hand washing, moving from and/or to their wheelchairs and moving from and/or to other locations within the Center.Ensures the safety of participants by continually monitoring the AWC environment and assisting in maintaining sanitary, clutter-free program areas. Reports any/all hazardous conditions and risk issues immediately.Completes attendance reports, meal reports, participant activity reports and other documentation, as requested.Work on other Adhoc projects as assigned by the Program Supervisor.
