Lewis Brisbois is seeking an Appeals Specialist with legal experience. The Appeals Specialist will have excellent technology and communication skills and a high level of professional accountability in order to timely manage and submit invoice appeals to various e-billing vendors. The Appeals Specialist must demonstrate expertise in all facets of the e-billing appeals function for insurance defense matters which may include multiple payros, SIRs and other complex billing arrangements.We offer competitive compensation and in addition, Lewis Brisbois offers a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with employer contribution, as well as sick and vacation time. We also offer excellent opportunities for growth and advancement while working with a collaborative team.Responsibilities:Job Requirements:Two (2) to four plus (4+) years of hands-on law firm billing experience with high volume e-billingAderant, Elite, LawTime (or equivalent) legal accounting software experience; BillBlast or eBillingHubexperience is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college level courses in Accounting or Accounting Degree is aplusStrong technology and office skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook,and ability to create, edit, and present complex data, analyses and ad hoc reportsExcellent written and verbal communication skills along with an aptitude for working withnumbersEffectively and credibly interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries, and clientsDetail-oriented with a customer service approach and attitude to problem-solvingAnticipate work needs and organize work flow; follow through with minimal direction and follow upindependently and on own initiativeMulti-task, use time efficiently and perform professionally at a high level under tight deadlinesand in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment; successfully prioritize and adapt tochanging demandsFlexibility to adjust to varied situations and possibly work weekends or evenings as neededLewis Brisbois is not accepting search firm submissions for this positionQualifications:#LI-HYBRID#LI-RH1Minimum Salary:USD $60,000.00/Yr.
