POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs most aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to supply activities. Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Must have a good understanding of the needs of the organization serviced and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.Able to work with limited supervision within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures or other governing supply management guidelines. Deals with a variety of operating officials regarding limited aspects of program needs of the organization serviced. Contacts may relate to inventory requirements, new items of supply, item characteristics, or procurement lead-time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification requirements include demonstration of satisfactorily skill and good performance in the particular field and two years progressive experience in the related field (e.g., stock clerk, inventory clerk, warehouseman, etc.)Work will include cross-utilization into other jobs as required. Work may include some overtime and weekend work.
