TRANSPLANT NEPHROLOGIST

The Montefiore-Einstein Center for Transplantation seeks an academically oriented full-time Transplant Nephrologist at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine. The applicant should have completed a formal ASN/AST Accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship and have Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Montefiore Medical Center is a large academic tertiary care hospital in New York, with robust adult and pediatric kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and lung transplant programs. The kidney transplant program was founded in 1967, with an annual volume of approximately 200-230 kidney transplants and 25-30 pancreas transplants a year.
The Transplant Nephrologist will be responsible in the care of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients at all phases of care (pre and post-transplant), medical assessment of living donors, consultant for non-renal solid organ transplant (liver, heart and lung) candidates and recipients, help with building the outreach aspects of the nephrology transplant program, supervise renal and transplant Nephrology fellows, and participate in clinical and translational research.
In addition to a competitive salary of $225,000-240,000, and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
